Our Coaches

Dr. Jacqui Bunge
Head Coach
Meet Jacqui, the co-founder of Cycling Beyond Boundaries and a passionate chiropractor specialising in sports. Though her journey began in sports chiropractic, she found her calling in Paediatrics and Special Needs 13 years ago. Driven by her love for endurance sports, Jacqui uses her mobility as a source of inspiration to raise awareness for cerebral palsy and rare diseases.
Her mission is to empower her kids to discover their purpose, rise above exclusion in schools and society, and truly blossom. She firmly believes that therapy alone is not sufficient to help our children move more and find their rightful place in the world. Join Jacqui on this transformative journey as she strives to make a difference, supporting and advocating for children with special needs. Together, let’s create a world where every child can thrive and find their unique space to shine.
Alastair Armstrong
Head Coach
Let’s introduce you to Alastair, the co-founder of CBB and a remarkable competitive South African Para-Cyclist in category C2. With numerous local titles under his belt, Alastair has established himself as a force to be reckoned with. As a right above-knee amputee due to bone cancer, Alastair proudly celebrates 18 years in remission.
Cycling is not just a hobby for him; it’s his life. Whether it’s mountain biking, road cycling, or tearing it up on the track, Alastair finds pure joy and exhilaration on his bicycle. Despite cycling with only one leg, there’s a feeling of soaring through the air when Alastair hits the track. It’s a sensation that transcends limitations and fills him with an indescribable sense of freedom.
In addition to his cycling achievements, Alastair is a UCI Level-1 Accredited Cycling Coach and serves as the Central-Gauteng Para-Commissioner. His dedication to the sport goes beyond personal achievements, as he actively contributes to the cycling community. Together, let’s support and cheer for this inspirational athlete who continues to shine as the current SA Road and TT C2 Champion.
